Shiny Showcase Part 2
Thursday, August 20th, 2009The prints I ordered have arrived and thought I’d post a quick photo, they look really good in person. I’m afraid some kind of shopping bug may have hit, I’ve already ordered this print from Poster Cabaret.
Shiny Showcase
Friday, July 31st, 2009I’ve ordered my first art print. I’m almost ashamed to admit that I’ve never purchased one before. I’ve always wanted to start a collection, but when it came to ordering my first print I’ve been pretty slow to say the least. I generally fly low on the consume things radar.
I chose Shiny Showcase – ‘Vade Retro Satana’ and ‘The Last Leaf’ by Aesthetic Apparatus and Cole Gerst over at Tiny Showcase. The set is comprised of two prints by seperate artists – ‘Vade Retro Satana’ is by Aesthetic Apparatus and ‘The Last Leaf’ is by Cole Gerst.
I chose the set for ‘Vade Retro Satana’ because I love the patterns used, and the almost moire effect in the upper silver portion – Yeah! ‘The Last Leaf’ is nice too, don’t get me wrong. It’s the icing on the collector’s cake, maybe.. They’re an edition of 500 – Tiny Showcase only had 24 left when I ordered, so hopefully I made it in time.

Beer and Workflow
Friday, June 26th, 2009That’s all I need. A fresh batch of home-brew..
AND
My new work table is almost finished. The top measures 1800mm x 1000mm and tilts to provide a comfortable printing surface. Here it’s in pieces, it’s getting a lick of paint before I use it. Some super-minimal white on the frame and a Polyurethane coat on the wooden top, to stop the water getting in.
It’s perhaps the most eagerly awaited studio addition to my studio – Everything feels close to complete now it’s here, I can’t wait to use it! Special thanks go to Jem and Laura of Like Butter and their newest employee Ben, for their hard work a fabricatin’.
